Pre + Post Treatment Skincare
Pre-Treatment Instructions
1 Week Prior to Treatment:
Discontinue Active Skincare Products: Stop using products containing retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), scrubs, clarisonics, and other exfoliating agents.
Avoid Sun Exposure: Refrain from prolonged sun exposure and tanning beds to prevent skin sensitivity.
No Facial Waxing or Laser Treatments: Avoid waxing, laser treatments, or other hair removal methods on the face.
3–5 Days Prior to Treatment:
Hydrate: Increase water intake to keep your skin well-hydrated.
Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Limit consumption of alcohol and caffeine to reduce the risk of skin dehydration.
Day of Treatment:
Clean Skin: Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup. Morning of, you may cleanse with a non-active and gentle cleanser, moisturize, and apply SPF.
Post-Treatment Instructions
Immediately After Treatment:
Avoid Touching the Face: Refrain from touching, picking, or rubbing the treated area to prevent irritation.
No Makeup: Avoid applying makeup for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
Stay Cool: Avoid hot showers, saunas, and strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours to reduce the risk of irritation.
24–72 Hours Post-Treatment:
Gentle Skincare: Use a mild cleanser and moisturizer; avoid exfoliating products.
Sun Protection: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily.
Avoid Alcohol and Smoking: Refrain from consuming alcohol and smoking to promote optimal healing.
1 Week Post-Treatment:
No Exfoliation: Continue to avoid exfoliating products and treatments unless instructed otherwise by your licensed aesthetician.
Monitor Skin Response: Expect mild flaking and/or acne purging if you’re acne prone. Dryness and flakiness is normal post treatment and should subside within a few days.
